Living Room/Foyer/Hallway
  • Sell unwanted items (old game systems, etc.).
  • Clean the storage trunk.
  • Make burlap signs.
  • Cover pillows with fabric.
  • Sort through and organize DVD's.
  • Sort through and organize CD's.
  • Scent the cinnamon broom.
  • Repaint and decorate old shutters.
  • Build a large clock.
  • Create wreaths for each season.
  • Create a family tree wall.
  • Buy a throw afghan.
  • Buy antique milk bottles to use for vases.
  • Buy a thrift store mirror to place beside the front door.
  • Build a shelf in lieu of a faux fireplace.
  • Make a monogram for the mantel.
  • Create mantels for each season.
  • Buy more milk glass, particularly a hobnail milk glass pitcher.
  • Use an old window to create a picture collage.
  • Buy an iPod and dock.
  • Refinish buffet/sideboard/media center.

  • Create table runners and/or placemats.

  • Pick up family dining set from in-laws.

  • Continue working on pickle jar canisters.
  • Grow wheatgrass in pail for window.
  • Plant something (possibly faux ivy>) in grandmother's colander.
  • Continue making and storing homemade pantry staples.
  • Continue canning items.
  • Continue buying thrift store glassware.
  • Buy condiment bottles.
  • Buy a new manual can opener.
  • Make magnetized buttons or clothespin magnets to hold important notes and recipes on the refrigerator.
  • Buy new Lysol scrubbers.
  • Reorganize and label spice jars.
  • Buy new dish towels.
  • Toss old prescriptions and OTC medicines, and reorganize medicine cabinet.
  • Buy scoops for sugar and flour.
  • Etch names on oil bottles.
  • Make a measuring cup and spoon holder.
  • Create a holder for sponges and brushes.
  • Buy new Pyrex and Mason jars as necessary.
  • Permanently label all Pyrex and Rubbermaid containers.
  • Replace salt and pepper grinders--again (Kamenstein, you disappoint me).
  • Revise food inventory document--or create an app for that!

Guest Bedroom / Home Office
  • Sell unwanted items on eBay or donate them to Goodwill.

Laundry Area
  • Continue making homemade cleaners.
  • Paint the laundry baskets white.
  • Frame the burlap laundry sign.
  • Begin using reusable dryer sheets.
  • Create an ironing pad to be stored atop the dryer.

  • Buy an antique washboard.
  • Create homemade Oxy Clean and store it in an apothecary jar.

Wow. That is indeed quite a list, isn't it? And what happens if we move into a house that we own rather than rent? Clearly, I will never be finished with my project list!
